Dreaming in color :: Aquamarine
Today is a dark, rainy day - the kind that makes you infinitely tired and unable to motivate yourself to do much of anything. So I thought, a little dose of serenity wouldn't hurt today, right? This shade of blue, this dreamy/peaceful/calm shade, is exactly the color I need to be staring at right now. It elevates my dreary mood. Does it have that effect on you? I hope the weather is better where you are!

oh, that kitchen is gorg! I'm drooling over every kitchen I see... I think it means that I'm not loving my small apartment kitchen and need something to dream about.

Aquamarine is my birth stone. My wonderful boyfriend bought me the most elegant and understated aquamarine studs for my21st this year, and I put them in this morning because I was feeling the same way: dreary and gray!
That ring it so beautiful!! Love it! And aquamarines are said to lift the spirits and bring peace and serenity, so you are definitely on the right track there. Not sure how much I believe in gemstone properties but I definitely believe in the placebo effect, so I think I need to be wearing some aquas in the next few days =)

really lovely colours. love everything. Also, you're right about tragic situations bringing a community together. I am witnessing a lot of that around the affected areas in the different communities. I'm happy that you and your family survived that horrible tornado when you were 8. But, i can only imagine how difficult it must be to start over from scratch. Hopefully, the bad weather will subside for good soon. XX
