Summer fun pt.1

Yesterday B and I went on a long bike ride on our newly spruced-up bicycles (actually my in-laws gorgeous blue his'n'hers bikes from Austria, pics to follow). The sun was shining (cue 1st embarassing tan lines of the year) and there were loads of wildflowers in bloom on the prairie. Birds were belting out gorgeous summer time tunes, herons were relaxing on lagoons, and frogs were keeping cool in the shade.


A perfect afternoon was made even more perfect by finding bushels and bushels of wild raspberries, blackberries and redcurrants, as well as some early apples. We gorged and gorged and then we gorged some more!




Yes we got pelted by an almighty hailstorm in the end, but it was such a blissful day, I'm smiling right now just writing about it.
