Thursday's Randoms

Today I want to go to there.  I want to look out over the ocean, hear the waves crashing and feel the serene calm that comes along with it.  Now who wants to take me there?

I'm smitten over these Harry Barker dog beds (on sale!).  Stevie is currently using Gus' bed, which Gus never used.  It's the perfect size right now but she is growing like a weed.  I'm thinking that turquoise beauty needs a spot in our home.

I'm pretty sure that any home office could stand to have this snail tape dispenser.  It cracks me up!  Via

I know that it's already February - but I still don't have a nice calendar for 2012.  In fact, we've been using a free calendar in our junk mail from a real estate agent in the area.  Wouldn't this nature calendar from Etsy store Miles of Light be perfect?

Guys, can you tell I"m a sucker for Madewell? I feel like all my dream clothes come from there - yet I have only ever bought shoes from them!  If only I could go on a Madewell shopping spree.  I would buy this dress, for sure.

Last, I just thought you all should know that I'm totally in the mood to snarf a lot of these down.  That is all.  Via

How are all of you today? I'm feeling a little bit under the weather.  I'm at home with Stevie, who is trying her hardest to chew every last bit of a wicker basket in our living room.  An over excited puppy + sick Mo = bad combination.  Wish me luck...

Puppy Love

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

Seeing as though we've pretty much been all things puppy lately, this post seemed more than appropriate.  I'm particularly smitten with the puppy lamp - the "Albie" puppy lamp by design duo JamesPlumb.   Wouldn't it be amazing to display anywhere?!

If only puppies were all cute and no work....sigh.  I'm serious I kid, puppies are the  bee's knees.

Except this one.  This one is rotten.

Oh Stevie.

Cute puppy, name unknown

Introducing ::

Well...hmm, we still don't have a name.

Even though she kept us up most of the night, we are in love.  Even though she poops everywhere, we are in love.  Even though she tries to nurse everything in sight, we are in love.  I have to admit though, she's getting pretty good at peeing on her training pads.

She's pretty much full of personality.  She whines a lot (hence keeping us up all night) but that's because she's so young and misses her doggie mama.  She cries when one of us leaves the room, and she was right there in the action when I did some yoga earlier.  She's starting to play with her toys and she is sleeping in her bed.  What's not to love?

We're studying up on training so we can have the best little pooch this side of the Mississippi.  Because seriously, I don't want to be the person who goes to the bathroom and comes out to find this ::

So considering the fact that I'm on a dangerously low amount of sleep, do you have any tips for making our next few nights a little easier?  It's funny how quickly I believe everyone saying puppies are like having a baby.  Man.  Oh.  Man.

Gus seems to be doing well with her to our surprise.  He stares at her.  A lot.  And moves around to get better views.  But I have high hopes for a future best friend status.  Then we can get some more animals and one day have a portrait like this ::

Or not.  But I needed to share this with everyone so that your Wednesdays are that much better.

I promise more pics of the unnamed pooch are to come.  I tried taking more but the lil' booger wouldn't hold still for a second.  Which makes me smile just thinking about.

More to come, I promise.  And more regular programming when things settle down and more sleep is had.

Til' tomorrow...happy tails to you ;)

PS ::

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ANNA-MARIA!

I love you!

Home Invasion

I wouldn't mind having any of these in my house.  I love animals but I love the way utilized in all the decor.  Would you add playful touches like these to your home decor?  I personally can't get enough of that dog lamp, and it would be so aesthetically pleasing to have cat scratchers like those...

Thursday Randoms

The other day I stumbled upon this AMAZING tumblr via Happiness Is.  I seriously spent so much time reading every single one of these and mostly, they all made me smile big time.  If you haven't yet had the opportunity to browse this tumblr, please, please do.

Especially after camping this weekend, seeing this wedding made my heart all aflutter!

This summer love dip dyed tote by Etsy shop forelements is so simple and lovely.  I've been wanting to replace my tote I've been...toting around and this might be a nice replacement.

These beautifully tiled stairs have been on my Pinterest for awhile now, and I keep staring at them in awe.  My goal is to lay tile like this in our screened-in porch/sunroom area that doesn't look the best right now (at least I think, I'd SURE LOVE to see it in person again....come on, bank!).  Be sure to check out the rest of this incredibly lovely home!

And just because...here is a funny cat.  Am I the only one who thoroughly enjoys trying to make my cat stand and dance? Surely not!

PS - today's silver lining of having not moved still is that I get to go to the zoo with two of my favorite people!  Hoorah!!

Have an awesome weekend!

Anna showed this website to me the other day and I must say, it's awesome.  What better way to end the week than with a video of an adorable little goat, jumping around?  Okay, maybe the perfect ending would be if you had a glass of wine in your hand while watching it, am I right?

So what are you all up to this weekend? Tonight's going to be a chill, rainy evening spent at home, but tomorrow is going to be chock full of excitement.  Can you say Boobs and Goombas? Yeah, you read that right.  Tomorrow night I'm going to see Boobs and Goombas: A Super Mario Burlesque.  I can hardly wait!  Hopefully I'll be back on Monday with a good review of the show.

Whatever you get up to...have a terrific weekend!

This fresh Ginger Smoothie I just made via Whole Living.  The ginger is subtle but adds a nice, unexpected taste.

This ModCloth Unexpected Twist Dress that has the best pattern.  Refinery 29 shows you how to wear it now (they forgot about coats, I think, because if all I needed to wear was a jean jacket then I'd be a happy camper).

This kitchen table paired with these lovely chairs spotted on pink o'clock

This incredible shower spotted on Desire to Inspire

This gorgeous Howlite Spikes Necklace from The Vamoose (which is unfortunately sold out but everything else in that shop is absolutely gorgeous).  For a chance to win your choice of handmade jewelry under $40, just go to Cornflake Dreams sometime today to enter - a winner is chosen tomorrow! I hope it's me, I'm obsessed with The Vamoose now!

I hope your Thursdays are treating you well!

Friends, I have fallen in love.  Aren't these stitched portraits absolutely amazing?  I would love to have a stitched portrait of Gus or of our happy little family.  What talent Cindy Steiler has. I can't imagine how tedious this process must be but I definitely don't want her to ever give up on this impressive craft!  Be sure to visit Cindy's Etsy store, Marysgranddaughter to check out all of her amazing work!

This one's for you, Anna

I couldn't resist sharing these cute pics from cuteoverload! Hope they brighten up your day!

Eeeeeps!

How cute are these little hipsters from Asos.com?!

They're all so cute and they really crack me up! Just thought I'd share!

Flyin' high

Gus just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone before he flies off on another adventure.  Crazy kitteh!

Tonight/Not Tonight

Tell me this isn't cute!  I think it's hilariously adorable.  However, I don't think the boy would find it as funny so I won't be adding it to our bed.  But I'll laugh about it.  A lot.  Alwaysfits.com has some really great stuff, check it out!

Cuuuute!

Last night, I was able to speak to my favorite little kids in the whole wide world.  Except the littlest one, Ally, did not wish to speak to me other than the usual hi, hello, how are you's.  No sir, instead, she wanted to speak to Badger!  Not me!  I found it funny and adorable.  I love that she loves him and isn't afraid to talk to him on the phone.  After all, he has been around since she was a wee little baby!  They went through the routine questions, and she gave him the weather report.  Nope, it wasn't snowing in Kansas.  It makes me go weak in the knees!  Kids are silly :)

Print love

I don't care if most of these prints are for kids.  I love them so and would display them proudly!

Olive!

Ladies and gentledudes, my step-sister's beautiful baby girl, Olive!

I love her.  She's always smiling and quiet and happy and loving.  She's a lil' angel!

Love is in the air

My niece and her boyfriend (as my mom puts it).  He tells her she is his 'best girl'.  So cute!
