Thursday Loves

You know what's both incredibly exciting and incredibly terrifying about these earrings? You're probably thinking, what is terrifying about earrings?!  Well, they're part of the spring 2013 collection from Stella & Dot.  Not terrifying, you say?  Well, imagine if you were due to give birth in spring 2013! Kind of terrifying now, right?!  I can' believe I'm seeing those words pop up everywhere.  Spring 2013.  Ah!

And if only it was warm enough outside to slip these babies on my feet.  Because I need shoes that are easy to slip on my feet.  News flash.  It's hard to bend over with a basketball in your belly, folks.  I'm thinking I need to order these Madewell sandals as my summer staple.

Why is it that when you need something and you settle on that something being something from Target that you like you but you don't love, and it's not really the best option but you go for it because you need it, and then you end up finding the perfect solution too little too late? That's what happened here.  We needed a mat for our wet shoes, we bought a mat from Target that we're all like, "eh" about, and it only kind of stays in place, and now here it is, the mat I've been yearning for.  You like my run-on sentences?  Via

Mmm, perfect-looking breakfast sandwich....mmmm.  I'm hungry.  All the time.  And this looks divine. And yeah, it has bacon on it and yeah, I've been eating occasional meat since with child.  Sue me!  Via

With Valentine's Day approaching, wouldn't this ring dish be a lovely gift to receive? Or better yet, a perfect ring bearer "pillow" for a rustic wedding.  We used a piece of carved wood with our initials in it and the rings tied on with satin ribbon.  It was lovely.  And so is this.  Via

How are you, lovelies?  I hope your weeks are going well.  I"m so thrilled to have an easy day today...the early half of the week was rather rough!  Hang in there, everyone, tomorrow is Friday!

Friday's Fancies

Back To School

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

Happy Friday, everyone!  The short week seemed to fly by for me but I am ever so thankful for the weekend being here.  We don't have much planned other than some finishing touches on a home project and some brunch with my mother-in-law on Sunday.  Other than that, the weekend is wide open and I'm so thankful for that.

This week's Friday's Fancies is, in case you couldn't tell, back to school.  Now I'm long since out of school but I couldn't help but join in on the fun as it's always a good time to shop for "back to school" outfits.  Am I right, or am I right?  My husband told me that it still makes him nervous to think of back to school shopping and I can totally relate to that.  How does it make you feel?  If I were heading back to school this year, I'd gladly sport all of this Madewell stuff (exception being the jeans of course) all school year long.

What are you up to this weekend? Whatever it is, I hope you have a fantastic time!

Thursday's Randoms

Once again, my Madewell obsession is fueled stronger by the Keds for Madewell collection for spring.  I do declare that the middle pair really should be mine.

This is another one of those "I want to go to there" photos.  I really do.  Via

This straw bag from TopShop makes me long for a vacation so bad.  I can almost feel the sun against my skin and hear the sound of the waves crashing in.  Oh Mexico, some day I'll visit you.  Hopefully some day sooner than later.

This dining room is so so lovely.  I'm such a big fan of the combination of dark walls + wainscot.  I love that pendant light, too!  And the floors? Le sigh.  The owners of this house have got it going on.  Via

How eggsellent does this veggie and egg tower of power look?  I want to snarf it down right away!  Via My New Roots

How have your weeks been? What's inspiring you today?  Happy Thursday!

Thursday's Randoms

Today I want to go to there.  I want to look out over the ocean, hear the waves crashing and feel the serene calm that comes along with it.  Now who wants to take me there?

I'm smitten over these Harry Barker dog beds (on sale!).  Stevie is currently using Gus' bed, which Gus never used.  It's the perfect size right now but she is growing like a weed.  I'm thinking that turquoise beauty needs a spot in our home.

I'm pretty sure that any home office could stand to have this snail tape dispenser.  It cracks me up!  Via

I know that it's already February - but I still don't have a nice calendar for 2012.  In fact, we've been using a free calendar in our junk mail from a real estate agent in the area.  Wouldn't this nature calendar from Etsy store Miles of Light be perfect?

Guys, can you tell I"m a sucker for Madewell? I feel like all my dream clothes come from there - yet I have only ever bought shoes from them!  If only I could go on a Madewell shopping spree.  I would buy this dress, for sure.

Last, I just thought you all should know that I'm totally in the mood to snarf a lot of these down.  That is all.  Via

How are all of you today? I'm feeling a little bit under the weather.  I'm at home with Stevie, who is trying her hardest to chew every last bit of a wicker basket in our living room.  An over excited puppy + sick Mo = bad combination.  Wish me luck...

Friday's Fancies + Have a Fun Weekend!

Friday's Fancies

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5

Happy Friday, friends!  If only I were heading into the weekend sporting this little fall ensemble...it would be the perfect weekend.  However, it will still be a pretty amazing weekend.  The weather is supposed to be gorgeous and it's my favorite time of year.  With that combination, what's not to love?

This week's Friday's Fancies is all about blazers.  I personally have never worn a blazer, mainly because I have yet to find one that suits me.  But for this outfit, I envisioned a certain Kristin Wiig in a certain movie who had great style.  I can't get over some of the pieces Alexa Chung created for Madewell, like this dress.  It's such a playful print and a fun cut, and everybody loves to wear a LBD for every season, right?  The blazer is a silence + noise design, who I happen to be a big fan of.  Perhaps this blazer is what I've been looking for all along.  Perhaps.  I can't get enough of all the Madewell booties these days, but this black pair seemed to suit the dress nicely.  Throw in a brightly colored Rebecca Minkoff bag and you've got a sweet outfit.  Who's with me!

What are you all up to this weekend? I'm hoping to eat lots of good food, toast some beverages to the weekend and sit back to relax with my special someone.  Whatever you get up to this weekend, I hope it's wonderful!

Hello, Fall

My mind is still completely baffled by this weather.  This morning I woke up with several piles of blankets wrapped tightly around my body, a kitty snuggled on my feet and the warmth of my husband keeping me comfortable enough.  Needless to say, we went from pumping the AC to keep it at 74 degrees, to almost needing to start a freaking fire just to keep warm enough!

Naturally, my mind is on fall now.  I'm craving everything about it and I want to don an outfit that exemplifies autumn and all its glory.  Except, I have nothing in my wardrobe that is currently satisfying that itch.  So scratch that itch, dear blog.  Scratch it good and spare my wallet.

I saw the blanket this morning in an email and felt the need to share.  It's that classic wool camping blanket synonymous with fall (at least to me) and it left me ready for all that it has to offer.  I'm of course completely in love with EmersonMade's olive wool day coat, Steven Alan sweaters always call my name and these Minnetonka booties would be the perfect touch to any ensemble all season long.

Are you ready?

Friday's Fancies + Have a Blissful Weekend!

Happy Friday, my fancies!  I'm so happy Friday is here - my main squeeze is home and another Friday's Fancies has been created!

Friday's Fancies

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

I'm really into this Madewell Tank and I couldn't figure out which look I liked better.  So I thought, why not make 2?  One tank, 2 ways.  Brilliant!

Friday's Fancies

Tell me, friends.  Which look do you like better? Or which is more apt for your labor day weekend?

Quite frankly, I'd love to wear both all weekend long (and then and then and then...).  We've got a birthday party on Saturday (woo!) and a table to stain.  Hopefully in between we'll eat some amazing food, sip some wine and enjoy our summer weekend.  After all, they're really running out!

Whatever you get up to this weekend, I hope it's amazing!

P.S. - Be sure to stop by {long distance loving} not only to 'like' my Friday's Fancies but also to enter her Shabby Apple giveaway!

Madewell

Madewell has definitely got me ready for spring, way too early.  I'm loving all their stripes, I'm such a sucker for stripes.  They have such a great way of mixing prints and making all the outfits look so effortless, don't you think?  The softness of those shorts makes me yearn for warm weather right now.  I have so long to go, too.  Le sigh.

Please

I need this

Thanks.
