Thursday Loves

I have a complaint to voice and it might not merit any sympathy.  It's been really warm here, like, 74 degrees.  In December.  And it has only felt like winter one day.  I'm not happy with it, even though most people probably are.  I just want it to feel like Christmas is coming, in terms of weather.  Would it kill mother nature to just do me a solid with this one?!  The wildlife in our neighborhood is acting confused - it sounds like early spring every morning.  Dang it, global warming!  Photo via

After a week in Jamaica, I'm kind of fruited out for awhile.  But this fruit salad made of all my favorite fruits looks not only gorgeous but rather delicious.  I'd snarf some down!  Via

Another new-to-me Etsy shop to fall in love with - Classic By Nature.  Behind the operation are two sisters from Montreal with an eye for design.  While they mainly sell decorative pillows like the awesome one above, they also have some vintage pieces and handmade iPad sleeves.  Me likey.

How have your week's been?  It's been so nice for us to be back home with our Stevie love, snuggling on the couch.  Last night she not only helped tuck me in to bed, but she stayed sleeping by my side while husbadge hung out downstairs.  She's never done that before...I guess our 2 mile walk and darting back and forth around the house after her bath really wore her out!

I swear, I find the best fishbowls that this world has to offer.  Online, of course.  And very expensive, but of course.  The thing is, I wasn't even looking for one.  I love our fishbowl and our 2 goldfish are well into their second year!  I just think this "fishscape" is pretty darn amazing.  Via

After 6 long weeks of anticipation, our Subaru FINALLY showed up!  I drove it to work yesterday and the husband drove it last night to get pizza from Spinelli's (mmm).  Needless to say, we are in love.  I'm so excited for the many adventures this little Impreza will take us on!

I've had hammocks on the brain as of late.  I've been craving a cat nap in the sun with a frosty beverage at my side.  Now I've discovered a slew of beautifully handmade hammocks and I can't stop lusting after them all.  I definitely think an order is in my future.  Via

Well, today it's being finalized.  We're officially going to Jamaica for some good times with good people.  Our plans to go back to Florida were foiled, so why not take the next step up and leave the country altogether?!  I'm pretty pumped about a tropical vacation to someplace that was never really on my destination list but has gotten me excited anyway.  Have you ever taken an all-inclusive trip before? We have never, but I'm hoping it's all for the best!

Since I've been spending most of my time in my bathing suit as of late, I was excited when I came across Minnow Bathers' Etsy collection of unique swimwear.  I would love to spend my afternoons lounging poolside in one of those floral beauties or the black and white bandeau.  I must say, these Toronto designers have mad talent and if I were able to drop some money on a new swimsuit I would definitely show them some love!

Yesterday I received the sweetest package in the mail from one of my sweetest friends, Sarah.  I've still got a big grin on my face from the cuteness (and thoughtfulness) of the gift - from the gift itself to the packaging it came in.

Urban Posture

A year ago, I bought a wooden clock with a similar birch tree pattern on it like the t-shirt above from Urban-Posture and I love it.  I discovered their work at the Renegade Craft Fair a year ago and both Inna and I each snatched up some of their goods.  Today, I found their blog and Etsy store and wanted to share with all of you.  All of their work is simplistically wonderful.

Gray Works

Ever since my West Elm post, I haven't been able to stop thinking about my current home and my future home and what kinds of things are important to keep and can go, what would make a great transition piece, what I want for the future, etc.  Seriously, my mind is in over-drive about these sorts of things and I don't even know when said future home will convert to current home.  With all ramblings aside, I came across these lovely stools by Grayworksdesign, based out of Woodstock, NY.  I'm incredibly smitten over them, with all of their rustic charm.  That little stool would look so perfect in a cozy bathroom and I really want it in my life!

Holly Hue

When I was at the Chicago Renegade Craft Fair a few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to come across these fabulous designs by Holly Hue.  They had a small space on the second floor and unfortunately were shoved in the corner where it was hotter than Hades and hard to see them.  But luckily I did and I managed to score a similar tunic like the one in the last photo.  I love how the designs are symmetrical or a-symmetrical, stripy and colorful.  They're right up my alley and I love them.  What do you think?
