Thursday Loves

Just a few more weeks until I am whisked away to a crystal clear beach with bright white sand, all the tropical drinks I desire in hand and a whole week full of nothing I have to do (except enjoy myself, of course).  If I only were to look this elegant while frolicking on the beach.  Note to self, wear lots of jewelry while frolicking on the beach.  Fix that straw hat of yours that is all bent out of shape.  Grow 8 inches so that coverup fits you the way it does her.  Hey, then you might even be able to kiss your husband without standing on your tippy-toes!  Via

Meryl, I love you. You are an incredible actress and an incredible woman. This photo of you and this pooch is beyond amazing.  Via

Tonight I do declare grilled pizza night! That is, if the chef can handle it.  It's looking like he's been struck with a spring bug of the itchy throat/coughing variety, so let's all keep our fingers crossed that it doesn't get any worse.  Because man, I have been looking forward to grilled pizza night ever since we grilled pizza for my 27th birthday!  Via

Something about this Bree bag is really leaving me smitten.  It must be the detail, but I really think a lot of it has to do with the name alone.  Last week in the grocery store I saw "brie pie" and laughed out loud.  My niece's name is Bree and I love her so very much.  Mo Brie Pie, Please! And Mo Bree Bag's, Please!  Via

This card made me laugh - wouldn't it be funny to receive?  Via

Hope you're all having a lovely Thursday!

Thursday Randoms

This handbag, found via Svpply, needs to be in my hands as soon as possible.  Not only is it beautiful, but it was made by a collection of beautiful women in Stellenbosch (embroidery, hand-stitching

This wedding cake is how I imagined my own wedding cake to look.  Minus the amazing cake topper we had, this cake is perfect.  I love the way it's frosted - kind of messy but still beautiful (our coordinator/bakers didn't seem to understand what I meant and instead gave me a cake that was frosted without a flaw).  In fact, so many things from this wedding resemble my own.  The boutonnieres look exactly like ours, her bouquet resembles my bridesmaids bouquets and so forth.

This couch has it all.  Style, shape, color, not to mention the serious attraction our cat's claws would have.  But the cat aside, this beauty would make a nice addition to the new house.  I imagine spending winter evenings perched upon it and snuggled up in front of the fireplace.

This lovely sunroom has been bookmarked as inspiration for our own sunroom/screened-in porch.  I have big plans of transforming that room into something magical.  Some spanish tile perhaps, festive lights and boatloads of plants will make it the space of my dreams.

Last but most certainly not least, EmersonMade never ever fails to impress me.  Her lovely E.M. India collection is incredibly dreamy and I want every last piece.  Here's hoping I win Joanna's shopping spree giveaway!

Hankering for Handbags

Now that I'm unemployed and living off my husband's salary...I keep feeling the urge to shop and I need to resist it! I don't deserve to, I am not earning any money.  I just want what I can't have, I guess.  Anyway.   My favorite fossil bag that I carry every day is kind of falling apart (we had to superglue the strap) and I've been carrying it every day for a year and a half.  It's a brown cross-body bag with the most adorable floral lining. The size works perfectly and I can cram just about everything in it.  But I'm not sure how long that superglue will last and I don't want it to break and for me to be ill prepared.  So I'm browsing, and browsing for that perfect replacement.

I found this, have yet to see it in person but I'm interested:

It could be hit or miss, it's hard to tell.

Or there's this one:

It's a lovely neutral, great for fall, but like the color....I'm feeling a bit neutral on it too.

And then, I'm a Greedy Girl went and posted this:

The color! The liner! I'm so in love.  And it's 100% vegan...and it's only $83.

And then I saw this from Post Grad Hair Cut:

So lovely.  But I know I won't be affording this one.

What's a girl to do?
