Staple City!

I'm not sure how many of you read Refinery 29 or get their emails (I love getting them every day) so I wanted to share this with you - it's so cool!

Woo hoo!

With the big news I divulged yesterday, fantastic things are already happening.  I called up Southwest and asked if I could switch my flight home from California to extend my stay and go to Southern California in the meantime.  It all worked out swimmingly! I love Southwest - the flight was free and it only cost me $2 to switch it and that charge is only because of the 9/11 tax.  Woo!

So now I have a HUGE surprise for my favorite kiddo's and I can't WAIT to see their faces when they find out!

Romantic Mirrors

These new victorian-esque mirrors from Anthropologie are killing me.  They're so beautiful with their intricate details and ornate style.  I looked long and hard for mirrors like these last year.  I had a vision of one in red.  I though it would be easy to find in any color at a cheap store and then paint it but I couldn't find anything! So I gave up. And now I'll just lust after these...

* P.S. - it is MIGHTY hard to focus on work today.  MIGHTY. HARD.

I did it!

Woo hoo!  I finally did what I've been wanting to do for ages now, and it feels great.

I officially resigned from my job last Thursday.  I will be employed until July 23rd and then I'm back on the job market.  I'll have time to get everything done for the wedding before we go to California; I'll have the opportunity to reconnect with myself; I can enjoy the warm weather instead of being cooped up in a cubicle; I get to go to Disneyland as a surprise for my nieces and nephew a few days after the wedding if I want; and I'll have more than plenty of time to figure out what line of work makes me happy.  Or at least to get a better idea of it before I go looking for a new job.  I've learned that office jobs do not make for a happy Mo.

So looks like I'll also be able to get to spend TONS more time with you guys, which makes me so very super duper happy!  So big things are to come to Mo Pie in the next few months and I can't wait!

And because I know it's one of two I have left...happy Monday!

Burt Reynolds loves me

Last night, I had a dream that Burt Reynolds was my uncle.  This version of him, not the modern day.  Cowboy hat and all.  It was awesome.  He was going to buy us a brand new SUV for our wedding.  It was an SUV that cost over $300,000 and I was scared to death of driving it.  When I questioned the gift to my mom about how could a family member of ours ever afford to get us a wedding gift that costs over $300,000, she said, don't worry about it - he's Burt freaking Reynolds.

God, it was awesome.

Eeeeeps!

How cute are these little hipsters from Asos.com?!

They're all so cute and they really crack me up! Just thought I'd share!

World Cup Final

I'm so excited about Sunday's World Cup Final viewing party that The Chwalisz's are hosting.  We've all been asked to bring a dish from one of the finalists countries.  I'm hoping everyone chooses Spain.

One item that I KNOW will be there is this.  Naked babies in the grass?  Who comes up with this stuff!  It will be there purely out of hilarity, not out of how good it looks (it sounds like the lamest dish I've ever heard of).

Are you excited?  The Netherlands v. Spain?  Who are you going for?

Thanks!

Check this out.  Jen, thank you soooooo much for featuring these!  I am so honored :)

Postcards from Italy

We're gearing up for our wedding big time but I can't help but continually dream of the honeymoon (a month later).  These vintage postcards don't help...

And just because:
