Cheer up, Sandra B!
I think this gown could have been quite nice had Sandra Bullock carried herself a little better. I understand she's had a hell of a rough year but she looks so angry grandma-esque in this photo. What looks to be a hint of a grin on her pretty face is masked by her you-can't-pull-this-hipster-haircut-off hair and ill-fitting (albeit lovely) gown. Had she gone for different hair I suppose it might have worked. Perhaps this photo just isn't doing her justice. Afterall, I didn't actually watch the GG's (I think I'm better off, no?) What do you think? And who was your fave?

The bangs are not attractive on her. They make her look so serious. I missed the show, but will be watching the fashion after show tonight!
I know. We zipped through it last night and both my husband and myself could feel her sadness oozing off the screen. It was almost like she was on downers or something. Very sad I think.
so funny - i saw a different photo of her and she looked LOVELY. the dress looked better, a smile lit up her whole face... i wonder if a photograph really has that much power? I guess so!
I actually love her haircut... but would it kill her to crack a smile?!

I did watch them. Haven't since I was 15 or something. And I agree, Ms. B looks not so great here. But it's okay, I'll give her one bad appearance because every other time I ever see her she looks fab! And heck, had I had the year she has had [yes, 3 'had' in one sentence, I apologize], I would have shown up in sweats, no makeup and my hair pulled up in a messy bun! ;)
I like the dress...although it's a bit boring for my taste. I think the hair is what made her look kind of scary.
I liked Olivia Wilde's dress the best, I think. Very sparkly.
Yeah, she didn't seem to happy. Honestly, I wasn't blown away by any of the dresses this year. I loved the back on Anne Hathaway's dress though.

She does look mad. Maybe Scarlet Johanson bitched her out in the bathroom. I dunno. She could have had a much younger cuter look! I liked Olivia Wilde's sparkly dress the best! =)

I completely agree. The bangs were not such a good choice, but I think this photo caught her looking particularly unhappy. If there are 1000 lens angled at you for 20 minutes, play happy!
agreed...was not a fan of this overall look, however, when she was interviewed on the red carpet, she did seem genuinely upbeat.

I thought the exact same thing about her when I watched the GGs!
I dunno about this one....the gown was just frump-frump-frumpy. Maybe it was her (the bangs certainly didn't help) but I fear it might also be the dress. Tho the detail is lovely.
I agree, she looks a bit mopey in this picture.
