On the Lake
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8
When my friend showed me the photos of a college professor's recent wedding, I was immediately smitten. Every last bit of the wedding was incredible - from the bridesmaids' cowboy boots (hehe, personal favorite) the wedding party fireworks, the doggie ring bearers and the 4th of July-themed reception, I was sold. If only we could go back in time so I could attend this lovely wedding with what must certainly be a very lovely group of people. Photographer James Moes knows beauty when he sees it, don't you agree?
Turning art into fashion seems to be an absolute joy to me lately and I hope it resonates with all of you. If only everything in my life could be in such bold and distinguishable color.

such a beautiful photo. the colors are so bold and vibrant. very pretty indeed.
LOVE this wedding, and the look it inspired! I think my favorite thing about your blog these days (besides you, naturally) is your ability to create fashion from every inspiration so keep on!
those boots. ugh. and that nail polish color is lovely!
I love that green polish!!!
I normally get so bored looking at wedding shots because they usually look so contrived and forcibly sweet, but this one is gorgeous. It all looks so natural and so much fun. The colours are gorgeous: the bride's necklace! the bridemaid's dresses! the lake! And just how many brides would be brave enough to get into a canoe while still wearing their wedding dress? Beautiful.
LOVE this so very very much!!
I love this! Those boots are awesome.
This is so fun, what a neat concept! I'm majorly digging that ring. I'm feeling better about the boots already :)
P.S. Mr. Petersen actually started out as Marsupio, then P.Diddy, then P. now Mr. Petersen. But either way, I love it. Can't wait to hear what you name the pupster!
That is a stunning shot and I love the outfit you put together!
That's such a cool picture! Love the brilliant red of the canoe. So lovely.
that nail polish color and diamond ring are soo lovely!!
That image on the lake is beautiful -- I kinda wish I were there right now. And I love the fashion inspiration you pulled from it, especially the touch of red in the bag!
This just opened my brain up to a WHOLE new wedding idea board!!! haha! A canoe and a flat/still lake. Absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing :)
