celebrities and their dogs

Patty Duke and her dog, Bambi

Sandra Dee and her tiny cuties

Elizabeth Taylor and one of her many dogs

Ava Gardner and a small pup

Audrey Hepburn and her dog, Mr. Famous

Frank Sinatra and his dog

Buster Keaton

When I saw these photos on Life.com, I had to share them with all of you.  Since I've got a touch of puppy fever, I appreciate them more than ever!  There's something so amazing about we humans and our pets - the bond that we share.  As I type this, Gus is snuggled up on my legs, where he's been for the last 45 minutes.  I love having a furry companion and can't wait to adopt a new four-legged member to this Badger family in the near future!  Perhaps in 50 years, future bloggers will be able to post pictures of Mo Pie and her dog...

Seriously, how cute are these! I don't know which to dote over..the dogs or the actors?

Why does the past always seem like a better time than now?

I say why wait, let's start our own bloggers with furry friends post ;) Love what you said about the bonds, sooo true. Our kitties have definite personalities and I adore their little quirks and characteristics.

Just add a dog to a picture and it's fabulous. If there is an old hollywood legend and it's black and white, even better.
What kind of strange feet did Elizabeth Taylor have?

Love these! Something about old Hollywood royalty snuggling their pups is so much more fashionable than reality TV stars!

These are the cutest pics. I love Sandra Dee's pic, she looks so surprised. And the Elizabeth Taylor one with her toes, its so...normal haha, you don't expect such an elegant star to do something so cute and little girlish.
