Great Bedrooms

The people who are lucky enough to get to sleep in these wonderful bedrooms night after night must be the most relaxed, creative and interesting people.  To open your eyes every morning to a room so beautiful must feel so amazing!  Especially in that first photo, to open your eyes to see that lovely green door morning after morning - I can only imagine how nice that must be.  Or to awake to find yourself snuggled up in what appears to be a cave (last image).  Or to have so much light, so much serenity in your sleeping space...aaah.  Our current bedroom is nice, we have a bay window (in which the windowsill is completely filled with plants) and yellow curtains that cast a golden glow into the room every morning.  But it's definitely not "put together" like these rooms.  So I searched for inspiration for our next bedroom.  I can't wait!

PS - do you lovelies have any suggestions of where to find affordable but awesome bedding?  I'd greatly appreciate any tips!

Wow.. totally amazing. I love the warehouse one with the huge framed images as an extension of the head board. So cool! I don't think i'd feel safe in the wood/stairs nook, but it looks cool!
Light light light! so pretty!

Definitely love the last one best. Some aren't quite cozy enough for me, but that last one...could stay there all day!

These are wonderful - the top 2 especially caught my attention. Wow.

When I'm looking for bedding I totally scour Home Goods and also collect Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off coupons. All of my sheets come from BBB and they are incredibly soft, yet hold up well. Whenever my friends and fam visit they comment on the sheets.

Hope that helps,
Carrie

I fell in love with the green door in the first photo.
As for bedding, it's a department that I feel totally justified in splurging, especially sheets and pillows! For duvets, I suppose it would depend on your taste. I like them simple, and I found my dream set--fluffy and white and Anthropologie worthy--in Crate and Barrel, of all places.

i'm in love with that loft one, just so amazing!! i can't WAIT to have a place of our own (owned, not rented...oh one day...) that we can just design, modify and decorate to our heart's content!!

Gloria March 2, 2011 at 2:47 PM

i reeeally hope to have a gorgeous lofted bed once day, like the one in the second photo

Alena: Oh, Its Just Perfect! March 2, 2011 at 8:45 PM

The bed with stairs is so fun!! Plus, I count count it as my exercise for the day ;)

Brandi March 2, 2011 at 10:30 PM

Try West Elm -- I love their bedding. And these rooms are great. Mine isn't much of a retreat. It kinda screams "grad student" but at least it's a classy type. I'd love to be able to have a real bedroom retreat one day.

SabinePsynopsis March 3, 2011 at 5:52 AM

Oh pretty, pretty! #2 is amazing, and so clever (I just wouldn't want to roll out of bed during my sleep. Just imagine...). And #4 is some kind of beautiful urban dream.
I do get my bedding from the White Company, but I don't know if they're UK only. xo

Megan @ Pink O'Clock March 3, 2011 at 8:55 AM

these are FABULOUS! i want to go to sleep in all of them.

Pier One is great for finding pillows really cheap, about 2 or 3 dollars a piece when on sale. Kirklands is another great place for cheap pillows and throw blankets.
