spring fever is so contagious

Holy Staghorn Ferns, Batman!  I've got spring fever like you wouldn't believe!  Can you tell??

Last week, I moseyed on over to Sprout Home (dangerous) and with a lot of willpower, walked out with only a single air plant that cost just a few bucks.  Hooray for that willpower, because I could have walked out of there with the entire populace of plants (and candles, pots, flowers, mats).  My love for Sprout Home is unconditional, who's with me?  After paying said visit to the store of all plant stores, it's been hard to get the green guys out of my head.  If it can't be spring (yet) outdoors why not bring it indoors?  Luckily, I have more than plenty of plants indoors to keep me trucking until everything turns green outdoors, and we've got plenty of helpful images right at our fingertips!

Are you a plant kind of person?

I love plants but have no green fingers, so I stick to buying fresh cut flowers instead!

It's a very lucky thing for my bank account that Sprout Home is so far away from Boston. I can't get gardens off the brain these days- spring is almost here, really!

I love plants! I'm getting ready to plant a few cacti for my kitchen. And then work on getting some plants in my yard to spruce it up a bit. I cannot wait!

I love plants but don't know anything about gardening. Brown thumb. We have a rooftop deck that I'd love to spruce up this spring, but I think I need a professional to come do that for me. Sigh...

my poor kitchen plants are barely surviving!

I am the biggest plant person I know! I have a little Orchid I rescued two years ago, I didn't think it was going to live, but it turns out it did, and I hope one day it will bloom! I also have a an indoor Rose Bush I got for V-day, it's still blooming :)
Did I mention Spring came rather early here, but it also brought a lot of rain! eeeek- at least it calms the pollen down!

There's a little shop next door to our favorite coffee place called the General Store full of the most beautiful terrariums, vintage clothing and generally cool crap-going in there is such an experience in self control! Glad to hear I'm not the only one that has to stay focused in a plant shop!

oh mo! I want a garden and a piece of soil to plant something, ANYTHING! I think an air plant is a great choice. I was reading martha stewart today and decided that I need to get some plants soon. start some sort of indoor garden. I have this picture saved of a desk that was transformed info a garden of sorts with potted plants stacked on the top and all your supplies in the drawers. I can see something like that placed over my radiator this spring.

... i think i just caught the fever!

I'm a HUGE plant person and think they make such a difference not only of your mood but the look of the space. I actually have a jade plant that was part of my grandparents plant from the 50s!

Holly March 10, 2011 at 5:17 PM

ive been intimidated by air plants, sadly! haha but i cant wait to get in my garden this spring.

Jenn @ Live Love Life Now! March 10, 2011 at 5:24 PM

Ooh that's dangerous, I could lose a lot of hours (and a lot of money) at Sprout Home!

I have sprouted a green thumb over the last few years and can't wait till it warms up enough that I can get my balcony garden started!

Until then, I also have a menagerie of plants throughout my house and I couldn't live without all the lush greenery!

Thanks for all the gorgeous pictures...I have definitely caught your spring fever :)
