Hooray for Friday!  It's been a weird/awesome long/short week, if that makes any sense.  I'm so ready for the weekend - for house projects to be completed and partying to be had ;)

What are you all up to this weekend?  We have a daunting task ahead of us.  We discovered last weekend that we have uncontrollable amounts of poison ivy growing everywhere!  Just when we thought we had seen it all...it kept appearing!  So my brave handybadge bought a hazmat suit, gloves, goggles and a mask and is gearing up for the battle.  I'm nervous, to say the least.  But if all goes well (and we don't end up at the urgent care center) I won't have to worry every time I mow the grass for fear of stepping in it or brushing up against it.  I've been avoiding it like the plague!

This week's Friday's Fancies is embracing my lusts after fall clothes.  It's always around this time of the year when my fall fashion alarm rings and I just want to run out as fast as I can to pick up the latest and greatest pieces.  Does that happen to anybody else?  Please say yes.  I've had my eye on that blouse for awhile now and thought, what better way to pair it than to pair it with some autumn-colored wide-legged Gucci pants?  I tried to avoid the mustard + ketchup combo as much as possible, but if your stomachs are now craving a hot dog, I totally understand.  And you're welcome.  I've also had those Betsey Johnson platforms saved for awhile and never knew what to pair them with.  Lo and behold, the perfect combination (in my eyes) was born.

Be sure to check out the rest of Friday's Fancies at {long distance loving} and if you like what you see, feel free to do this ::

Have a great weekend, everyone!

* PS, I'm very much annoyed by the fact that the top + pants proportions wouldn't coordinate with one another.  That side piece sticking out drives me crazy!

Good luck getting rid of the poison ivy! And YES I totally understand your predicament of wanting to go out and buy EVERY new hot fall item that hits the stores... it's happening to me right now. I love the look you put together for Friday's Fancies, I have been literally lusting after that MK bag for ages now. One day, that bag will be mine! :)

Good luck with the removal of the poison ivy!!

I LOVE that tie front blouse! Oh and I hate when proportions of items on Polyvore won't work either, but I actually didn't notice the edge of the blouse sticking out until you mentioned it!

Marian August 12, 2011 at 11:58 AM

Love the look! And am actually in love with the color shade of the shirt! And the blue earrings...just the perfect pop of blue! And the purse...great minds think alike my love!!

PS- Lets not discuss how many arguments I get in with polyvore cause it won't work with me when I'm trying to re size pieces:)

I don't think we have poison ivy in Australia - thank God! Good luck getting rid of it.

I get such outfit envy with the other hemisphere. I'm desperately hanging out for summer to arrive because I'm so sick of winter, but seeing all these lovely colder-month outfits make me weirdly envious! It's slightly crazy but I know, deep down, summer will always have me 100% :)

Have a great weekend!

Johanna August 12, 2011 at 10:22 PM
