Sometimes you find a book you just can't put down. Ian McEwan's Saturday is just that. Perhaps it's the descriptions of the London I know so well, perhaps it's because he's just a great modern author.

Speaking of good reads, I've been into The Cider House Rules by John Irving (reading slowly, only finding time to read on my daily commute). I pretty much have loved every book of his that I've read (The World According to Garp, A Widow For One Year).
