Help?

Isn't this print enchanting?  It's been dubbed "artography" as it is a collaboration of photography with added art.  I'm quite smitten over it.

Anyway, the mister and I looked around at flights to Rome last night and we think going with Alitalia is probably the cheapest bet.  We're looking to jet off towards the beginning of September and to go for about 10 nights minimum.  What I want to know is do any of you have any advice or recommendations to give me as to what airline to go through or how to pick out our flights?  The last time I went to Europe was with a group and the whole trip was planned through one of those Educational Tours.  So I'm kind of clueless.  And our travel agent thinks we're made of money...

Seriously, any advice will be GREATLY appreciated!  I'm so excited!

have you ever used vrbo.com? that's something i'd look into for lodging, especially because they usually do the rentals by at least one week or so. also, i always use sidestep.com for flights because they check multiple travel sites and give you the best prices from each...hope that helps!!

sooooooo i dont know if you'll get this since youve already left, but positano was heaven, heaven, heaven. le sirenuse is the most gorgeous hotel and fun to get a drink at- very spendy though. nice treat. also, the fornillo beach around the cliff away from the public beach is awesome, a little cheaper, and in my opinion has a better ambience! also, rome at night is AMAZING. hot and crowded during the day... and if you go to cinque terre, you MUST stop at vernazza and go to al castello restaurant. oh my, i just could write a novel here, i better go but i have all my italy stuff on my blog too. have a great time.
